This position is located in the city of Fresno.

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager I, District Operations Support Team Manager, the Office Technician (Typing) performs administrative clerical duties to support the Regional Director (RD) and the District Administrator. As the RD/DA Administrative Support Technician, incumbents are involved in sensitive public contact and handle highly sensitive documents related to consumer and employee issues. In addition, provides administrative clerical support to the DOS Team Manager and Supervising Program Technician II as needed.

Answers all incoming phones calls and inquiries for the RD/DA. Acts as first point of contact for the RD/DA to help facilitate expeditious resolution of problems. Independently composes, types, and edits sensitive and confidential correspondence on behalf of the RD/DA that may include formal responses to consumer appeals, administrative case reviews, and other consumer-related correspondence. Tracks projects and assignments for the RD/DA. Conducts research and evaluation of information to present options and information to the RD/DA as assigned. Maintains confidential and highly sensitive records for the RD/DA and for the district.
