A growing Telematics company is seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with 3-5 years of proven experience in database administration, support, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server environments and experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and DynamoDB. The Production DBA will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of databases, as well as providing support for database-related issues and implementing improvements.

Required Skills & Experience

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant on the job experience is acceptable as well.
Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a SQL DBA in a production environment.
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2008 R2, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022) administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, including writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Experience with SQL Server High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options, including AlwaysOn, Clustering, and Mirroring.
- Familiarity with database monitoring and performance tuning tools (e.g., SQL Profiler, Performance Monitor, SQL Sentry).
- Experience with backup and recovery tools and strategies.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and database management tasks.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB, including setup, administration, and performance tuning.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
