• About This Opportunity


As a Demand Planning Analyst, you will be responsible for developing 7-Eleven's Demand Planning and Forecasting capability by creating a culture that values data, systems, accountability and innovation. Responsible for setting inventory placement goals that align with business objectives. The role needs to advocate, remove barriers and build connections for the team with all stakeholders in the value chain. They will also be responsible for working closely with respective stakeholders to develop and execute strategies. The Demand Planning Analyst will support financial analysis, be a liaison to merchandising and operations support, and focus on driving improvements to supply chain performance. The analyst will provide sales forecasts for new and promotional items in order to optimize inventory levels.
• Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.
• Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects with tight deadlines.
• Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
• Prioritize workloads, maintain a strong attention to detail and work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
• Responsible for coordinating flow of information between the buying team and vendors, as well as between Inventory Management and Merchandising teams.
• Demonstrated customer focus and experience bringing products or programs to market.
• High sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
• History of collaboration and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done (no job is too large, and no job is too small).
• Demonstrated ability to manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with a practical, common sense approach; Ability to transition fluidly from broad strategic
thinking to execution and untangling of tactical details.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is desired.
• High attention to detail including precise and effective communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
• Partner with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in vendor shipping; Execute inventory positioning recommendations
• Manage decisions on flow and positioning for initial sets, events.
• Responsible to achieve Fill Rate Goals at Distribution Center and Store level; Provide summarized analysis for Ads and End of Season strategy and recap at a store level.
• Establish comprehensive operations and project plans to ensure all deadlines are met.
• Create an environment and culture of knowledge sharing and increase automation culture, proactive communication and Training.

• Bachelors/4 Year Degree.
• 4+ years relevant work experience.
• Experience working in a Retail Organization.
• 4+ years of business experience in transactional processes & analytics, logistics/ supply chain management, procurement, in stock, logistics, inventory management.
• Expertise in Inventory management principals and systems.
• Experience in supply chain planning: allocation, replenishment, operations.
• Translating data from an array of sources into insights and go-forward recommendations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work well with others.
• Strong Excel, SQL and Database skills.
• This person needs to be adept at manipulating large datasets to derive actionable intelligence.
• Prior experience with Inventory Management and Replenishment Systems like JDA, Sterling Commerce etc.
• Working knowledge of R and Python will be a plus
