The Director Business Development will have the ability to evaluate the US market and customers, recognize trends and set forth a plan to penetrate specialized business opportunities. This individual will define the business plan and work with the organization for execution. The company is in high growth mode with resources and technology to support new business opportunities. Responsible for the development of market, customer, strategic marketing, and engineering programs to support growth in identified market.

What You Will Do

  • Develops strategic direction from market information and customer interaction.
  • Identifies trends/opportunities and execution plan.
  • Develops strategic customer partnership.
  • Lead through execution to grow the business.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor degree in Optical Engineering or related technical discipline
  • At least 7 years of fiber optical sales and program/project management
  • Experience in marketing and program management background
  • Track record of success exploring new markets of development
  • Experience creating new business strategies and executing against those strategies
  • Experience communicating across all levels of business and executive leadership presence
  • Business acumen to deliver high level communication in optical field


For this role, we anticipate paying $200,000 - $225,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
