Job Description

Purpose of Position:

The Director of Nursing: Ambulatory Care Services, and reporting to the CNO (Medicine, Subspecialty, Dental Women's Health, and Pediatrics) is responsible for nursing practice oversight by organizing and leading the delivery of nursing care for designated patient care areas. This includes: analyzing clinical practice and identifying opportunities to increase quality, safety, effectiveness and efficiency within Primary and Speciality Care, identifying clinical indicators to measure, evaluate ad improve care; maintaining compliance with all clinical policies, procedures and regulations; supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare providers who deliver nursing care.

Minimum Qualifications
1. Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State; and,
2. A Master's Degree in Nursing Administration or an equivalent field, and a minimum of four years of high-level responsible experience in nursing administration, three years of which shall have been in a hospital; or,
3. A satisfactory equivalent. However, all candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice as a Professional Nurse in New York State.

Five years of experience in a hospital clinic setting with atlas two years in a management and supervisory responsibility
