Job Summary
The Director of Off-Campus Student Services promotes student success across Northeast State's off-campus instructional sites, including the College's standalone and high school sites. To enhance enrollment and student success efforts at the sites, the Director coordinates student services, including but not limited to facilitating admissions, financial aid, and academic advising support. Additionally, the Director supervises off-campus Student Success Associates and coordinates rotational student services for all off-campus sites, ensuring comprehensive student support. The Director reports to the AVP for Enrollment Services.
Job Duties
• Coordinate rotational student services schedules at the off-campus instructional sites, including dual enrollment high school sites as needed, and maintain an accurate rotational student services calendar that is available to the campus community.
• Supervise the College's off-campus Student Success Associates.
• Serve as a resource for student success; determine and interpret student services needs and initiate referrals; and advise students on policy.
• Conduct Student Success activities, including admissions application assistance, financial aid document guidance, and academic advising.
• Lead the Kingsport Bear Den Student Help Center.
• Collaborate with site directors, student services, and academic deans to support enrollment, engagement, and student success initiatives for all student demographics at off-campus instructional sites.
• Develop and inspire strategic relationships and teamwork with internal and external constituencies to achieve enrollment and retention goals in support of the College's Strategic Plan.
• Manage applicable operating budget.
• Supervise student work-study position(s).
• Complete other assignments as directed by supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and five years of experience in higher education student services, including experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (i.e., Banner, Oracle)
OR
• Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and three years of experience in higher education student services, including experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system (i.e., Banner, Oracle)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Banner, Degree Works, and D2L
• Three years of experience in higher education admissions, financial aid, or advising
• Conversational ability or fluency in a second language
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to work independently and to assist in problem-solving for students, staff, and the public
• Ability to establish and maintain effective and cordial working relationships with a wide range of constituencies
• Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate events
• Ability to serve as an articulate spokesperson for the mission and values of the college
• Ability to interpret and apply complex laws, policies, and procedures
• Knowledge of records management concepts and best practices
• Attention to detail, accuracy, follow-through, leadership, strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and quality customer service in all interactions
• Technology Skills: MS Office suite; videoconferencing software; digital records management systems; general operating systems and data information systems

• Travel to professional state and regional conferences is required.
• Periodic local travel to off-campus instructional sites is required.
