JOB SUMMARY:

The Director, Pricing and Analytics will drive innovation through the design and development of tools that measure and increase the effectiveness of admission pricing strategies. This role will leverage data manipulation and visualization techniques as well as have strong communication skills to present complex analytical findings in clear business terms.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Brainstorm/conceptualize potential new offers to address business needs. Analyze new offers using a combination of consumer insights research, conjoint analysis, booking and demographic trends, sales channel, and ticket type trends as well as a review of competitive offerings. Test price and demand sensitivities to identify options which maximize profitability.
  • Lead the pricing team in analysis of standard admission and Marquee Event pricing. Leverage advanced analytics in partnership with Data Science teams to collaborate in developing, implementing, and deploying pricing capabilities.
  • Manage the UO Admission Pricing & Promotions team. Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, career development.
  • Manage the pricing and promotion approval process. Present clear and succinct business cases gaining executive leadership approvals.
  • Assists senior level Engineers with development of Acceptance Test Procedures on control systems.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field of study (business, engineering, mathematics, data science, etc.) is required.
  • Master's degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
  • 10+ years' pricing/financial analyst experience required.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods, data science and revenue management are preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
  • ; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work through complex, unstructured problems.
  • Strong interpersonal, technical and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate and understand key drivers of sales channel and product performance, viability and profitability.
  • Demonstrated ability to champion projects from beginning through implementation, meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy with an ability to consolidate multiple sources of information/analyses into a cohesive story/recommendation.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence others with the story behind the data; ability to communicate concepts to a non-technical audience as well as the ability to advise senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
