The role you'll contribute:

The Director of Strategic Operations works closely with the COO and the executive leadership team to drive strategic and administrative initiatives forward. This position is responsible for balancing strategic priorities, steering decision-making around strategic initiatives, establishing processes to monitor deliverables, and driving execution on high-impact projects. This position works closely with the executive team to develop KPIs necessary to drive operational performance and serves as the liaison between C-Suite and Business partners in ranking and escalating critical needs/issues. This position is also responsible for the coordination and oversight of performance improvement/project management activities for the organization.

• Responsible for identifying, researching, reporting and providing solutions for cross functional strategic operational issues

• Plays key role in successful management and execution of strategic initiatives.

• Works independently on projects or leads cross functional teams

• Designs, develops and implements quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex business situations including performance, strategies, systems and solutions

• Uses Root Cause Analysis to approach and resolve identified problems/projects and manage solutions

• May initiate investigations of issues affecting one or more areas within the organization

• May serve as the C-Suite representative at various meetings

• Utilizes Lean methodology to approach and solve identified problems/projects and manage the implementation of solutions to improve workflow efficiency

• In conjunction with the leadership team, works to develop, implement, and evaluate the short and long-term strategic direction of AHMG operations, positioning the practices for excellence and sustainability

• Maintains oversight and provides central coordination for all ongoing strategic and operational projects on the COO's agenda

• Monitors project milestones and KPIs, ensures that reporting capabilities are in place to allow proactive identification and escalation of issues

• Utilizes performance metrics and analytics to monitor AHMG operations, identify trends and areas of opportunity, and recommends performance improvement initiatives to the COO

• Monitors performance metrics to track multiple project timelines, budget, and success indicators; identifies areas for improvement and guides necessary changes to project scope, schedule, and cost as needed

• Establishes organizational authority and accountability for project teams charged with delivering on priorities

• Manages communication proactively to executive and internal stakeholders, including updates and input on projects

• Ensures that teams have a clear understanding of expectations, priorities, and deliverables

• Determines project prioritization, scope, objective, risk, appropriate staffing, and technical feasibility through collaboration with AHMG leadership and internal stakeholders

• Acts as an advisor and sounding board to the COO, provides thought leadership, and serves as a key member of the operational leadership team to offer business perspectives relevant to influencing key strategic decisions

• Identifies issues that impede integration or successful execution of strategic priorities and provides recommendations for solutions. Identifies opportunities to create cross group collaboration. Orchestrates conversations to facilitate the successful implementation of operational plan across cross functional teams

• Participates in relevant meetings at the direction of the COO and provides operational perspectives in interactions with corporate leadership teams, capturing major takeaways and assigning and maintaining clear action items, and following up on deliverables

• Manages the coordination of resources for strategic projects and initiatives

• Collaborates with AdventHealth Physician Enterprise on identified corporate projects and practice optimization

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

• Bachelor's degree with 7 or more years of relevant experience in Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or related field or Master's degree with 4 or more years of relevant experience in Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or related field

• Leadership Experience with large multi-specialty physician group is preferred

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED :

• Strong business development expertise in utilizing and interpreting data for strategic planning and modeling

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Highly organized and great attention to detail

• Works comfortably in teams as a facilitator and participant, including temporary teams for project-based initiatives.

• Communicates effectively through all forms of media, uses active listening and communication skills, and leverages these presentation skills to engage, inspire, and establish credibility with provider partners

• Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills

• Expert in risk management, budget & resource planning, project documentation, and schedule tracking

• Applied experience with process improvement and change management concepts and methodologies

• Applied leadership experience

• Ability to conduct process mapping, root cause analysis, statistical controls
