Education Support Specialist (Staff Wage)

University of Virginia School of Education and Human Development department of Curriculum, Instruction and Special Education is seeking candidates for Educational Support Specialists to support, guild and mentor full time/part time graduate, undergraduate, and non-degree students in various areas of emphasis. The incumbent(s) will provide programmatic guidance, student mentorship, limited advising, and other student support services as needed.

A bachelor's degree in education or related field is required a master's degree in education is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of teaching in a secondary or post-secondary setting or providing student support services in a post-secondary setting is also referred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
