Emergency Medical Services Manager - Full Time

Education / Experience:

High School Graduate or equivalent required; additional preparation preferred.

Two years' experience in a management or supervisory position in an Ambulance Service.

Licensure / Certification:

Georgia EMT(I) license required; Paramedic license preferred.

Valid Georgia driver's license meeting insurability requirements.

Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients of the indicated ages:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Goals and objectives are consistent with hospital mission and interdepartmental objectives.
  • Identifies specific outcomes and target dates.
  • Reviews goals monthly and addresses in monthly report.
  • Addresses goal resolution.
  • Develops an operating budget and capital expenditure plan.
  • Consistent with goals and objectives.
  • Reviews financial results monthly; compares to budget and takes corrective actions regarding unfavorable variances.
  • Maintains appropriate levels of supplies/inventory.
  • Selects equipment consistent with goals/budget.
  • Processes departmental payroll accurately and timely.
  • If applicable insures that departmental charges are input accurately and timely.

  • Troubleshoots and identifies problems with all EMS communication equipment and makes repairs as needed.
  • Insures that all personnel are informed to the proper operation of all radio communication equipment.
