Engineering Electrician, Plant Operations

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning Engineer throughout project life cycle (pre-design, design, construction, and start-up phase) to ensure electrical system functions in accordance with the design intent and Plant Operation requirement
• Lead new installation inspection prior to equipment start-up and ensure installation meets National Electrical Code, state and local building code, and Tesla standards
• Produce as-built drawings markups for delivery to the design team for Record drawing preparation
• Install, terminates, troubleshoots, and repairs electrical equipment, components and raceway utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
• Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and components
• Prepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment

Requirements

• Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management; must have high degree of initiative, and the ability to work alone and effectively with other people
• Completion of electrician apprenticeship program
• Knowledge in Lock-out-tag-out and isolating electrical hazards
• Working knowledge of electrical systems up to 480VAC
• Working knowledge in using hand tools, multi-meters, and testing equipment
• Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, schematics and single line diagrams
• Ability to: work in high elevation up to 80 ft and to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs regularly and to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel

Expected Compensation

$32.00 - $60.70/hour, depending on level + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
