The Executive Director oversees Research Operations (RO) systems to ensure operational efficiency, utilizing platforms like InfoEd, Epic, OnCore, and more. They lead analysis, design, and implementation of RO systems, collaborating with senior leadership for strategic alignment. Managing a team, they ensure system functionality and reliability, exceeding research community expectations. They establish policies for research administration systems, continually optimizing processes for efficiency.

In reporting and analytics, they lead data integration efforts across departments, ensuring accuracy for metrics like research proposal volume and compliance requirements. They also oversee data quality and maintenance, resolving discrepancies promptly and maximizing automated systems' effectiveness.

The Senior Director directs personnel management, supervising managers and administrative staff, resolving issues, and fostering professional development. They contribute to the senior leadership team, maintain effective communication, and support staff training and recruitment.

For professional development, they stay updated on best practices through education, seminars, and networking, contributing to institutional benchmarking studies.

Overall, the Senior Director ensures adherence to organizational policies and guidelines, maintaining confidentiality and integrity while performing assigned duties.

As a successful candidate, you will:

• System Administration:
• Establish strategic direction and policies for RO systems.
• Manage development, implementation, and support of RO systems.
• Lead business and functional support, including training and change management.
• Act as lead for PeopleSoft and Epic business support.
• Reporting and Analytics:
• Direct data integration efforts across departments.
• Ensure data accuracy for various metrics and compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement performance metrics and KPI monitoring.
• Oversee data quality and report maintenance.
• Data Quality:
• Execute and analyze research data reconciliations.
• Resolve data integrity errors in collaboration with relevant departments.
• Maximize use of automated systems for improved productivity.
• Develop and maintain strategy for data accuracy in Epic.
• Personnel Management:
• Identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions.
• Supervise managers and administrative staff.
• Participate in senior leadership team meetings.
• Support staff training, recruitment, and performance appraisal.
• Professional Development:
• Stay updated on research operations best practices.
• Attend seminars and forums for continued education.
• Conduct site visits and participate in benchmarking studies.
• Expand professional network through networking activities.

Your qualifications should include:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Healthcare, Public or Business Administration or other related field

• Eight (8) + years research administration, including financial management oversight and clinical trial leadership experience, in a healthcare and/or nonprofit setting required.
