Responsibilities

Responsible for performing executive and administrative functions for the Dean's Office.
  • Facilitates the efficient utilization of the Dean's time through maintaining his calendar, planning and scheduling of appointments/meetings.
  • Screen telephone calls, mail, emails and visitors.
  • Route requests, inquiries and complaints from University personnel, the community, and the press.
  • Draft written correspondence as well as reports and forms including conducting appropriate research for such documents.
  • Perform special projects, research, and confidential assignments as needed.
  • Provide analytical support by finding creative and innovative solutions to problems presented.
  • Serves as the travel and purchasing representative to the Dean.
  • Manages annual faculty evaluation process, assists with promotion and tenure, and new faculty visitors/hires in coordination with CSW HR team.
  • Prepares the Dean's agenda and organizes materials for his consideration at formal meetings.
  • Offers support and coordination or assists with drafting talking points, brief remarks and correspondence for the Dean.
  • Provides administrative support, including agendas, meeting minutes and materials for various committees as assigned.
  • May require working with executive level, confidential and sensitive information.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalency and six years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.

Preferred Qualifications

Possesses the range and capacity to be both organized behind the scenes as a proactive problem-solver and as a friendly front-facing initial point of connection for the Dean's office within the College and at various events.
