Position Summary:
Performs diversified and advanced administrative duties for the assigned Vice President(s) and Directors, including drafting correspondence, answering phone calls, distributing mail, and processing expense reimbursement requests. Follows organizational and department procedures and guidelines. Provides back-up for other administrative support personnel.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinates efficient functioning of office and administrative support services, makes recommendations regarding improvement of office processes and procedures.
2. Receives, screens, and transfers telephone calls, messages, and e-mails promptly and courteously.
3. Reviews, prioritizes, drafts, composes and edits correspondence. Responds to correspondence on executive's behalf, within scope of responsibility.
4. Consistently utilizes appropriate customer service skills. Develops relationships and maintains rapport with executive leadership employees.
5. Oversees and assumes responsibility for coordinating miscellaneous projects at the request of the VP for the department.
6. Performs other duties as required or requested.
Required:
1. Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Minimum three to five years of directly related experience.
3. Ability to effectively communicate and present self to people in courteous, tactful and poised manner.
4. Ability to treat material handled confidentially
5. Must always use discretion in conversations both at work and outside of the office as not to release confidential information.
