General Description:
The FPSS (Facilities Planning and Support Services ) AP (Accounts Payable) Technician is responsible for working on the NVCC Facilities Exception Queues in both State and Local Funds. This position supports compliance with the State Prompt Pay Act.

Duties and Tasks:
  • Responsible for reviewing Exception Queues daily to determine if the invoice is for Facilities Planning or B&G Purchase Orders.
  • Sending copies of invoices to buyers for the purposes of completing eVA receiving
  • Identifying whether existing POs are adequate or whether change order or new PO is required.
  • Reviewing AIS to determine if the PO is open and available for invoice payment.
  • Monitoring the age of the invoices and sending follow-ups to the POC for the purchase order for processing.
  • Tagging receipt numbers on invoices and routing them back to SSC for payment or updating comments on NV Payment queue for local processing.
  • Responding to email regarding open invoices.
  • Miscellaneous administrative support to the FPSS Admin team.




Special Assignments
May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.

  • Ability to follow directions, handle multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
  • Administrative support experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, use of PC’s and peripherals such as scanners, printers, portable storage devices.
  • Data Entry experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Additional Considerations
  • Administrative experience supporting management and staff
  • Experience in accounts payable or procurement
  • Experience in a college or a state agency.
Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel
Maybe required to travel between NVCC Campuses.
