Federal Work Study, Student Worker - Family Nurturing Center

Overview

The Family Nurturing Center provides child abuse treatment, prevention, and education services to children and their families. This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical duties, including organizing, coordinating, scheduling and performing various office functions. This position will assist in ensuring effective communication between staff, volunteers, clients, and visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Answer phones in a professional manner, providing assistance to callers and referrals.
  • Greet visitors by directing clients to their appointments and notifying staff of arrivals.
  • Data Entry: Input confidential client files, prepare reports, and update files.
  • Office Machinery: Use copy machine, fax, computers, and communication equipment to support office operations.
  • Must have background check performed.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a high school graduate or have attained a GED. Must be at least 16 years old.


For Federal Work Study funds must:

1. Student must have completed a FAFSA for the current school year.

2. Student must meet and continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress

3. The student must be a United States citizen or eligible non-citizen.

4. The student must demonstrate financial need.

  • Part-time 10-20 hours weekly.
  • $14.00/hr. min for Federal Work Study positions
