Field / Telecom Senior Project Manager
Location: Texas preferred, but open to other states with direct flight to Midland, TX
Contract: Through end of 2024, strong possibilities of extensions.

Our client is seeking a Field Project Manager with fiber installation experience. This Project Manager must be willing to travel to the field up to 40% of the time to support the management and installation of network connectivity to new facilities. Most travel will be to Midland, TX.
Travel will primarily be scheduled during the week (Mon - Fri). May be few instances where it makes sense to stay over a weekend. All travel expenses will be reimbursed (flight, hotel, meals, rental car, etc).
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze project requirements, develop budget, and submit for approval.
  • Manage project team's execution to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Work with other teams to understand and negotiate interdependencies.
  • Analyze vendors and recommend the most suitable candidate for the project.
  • Track costs of IT Infrastructure projects and work with finance team on reporting.
  • Generate bill of materials and review quotes to meet required objectives based on design.
  • Track shipments and network equipment inventory.
  • Perform network deployments according to design, delegate workload to meet objectives and timelines.
  • Maintain Permian Basin's fiber matrix and splicing records.
  • Troubleshoot fiber outages and engage appropriate vendor(s) to repair any fiber outages.
  • Maintain budget and ensure limits are not breached.
  • Ensure easements, encroachment agreements, and permits are obtained for fiber installations.
  • Liaise with client's staff who have oversite over various components of the "parent" construction projects.
  • Assist the client's IT&S team on any tasks they assign including Network refresh projects, Camp redesigns, electrical assessment, redesigns, and operational support.
  • Ensure the client's polices are followed.
  • Engage and/or Continue Security Audit (Unity Engagement).
  • Highly organized with great customer relations
  • Fiber experience is a requirement - Aerial and underground installations.
    • Splicing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
