Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Financial Analyst who will support the execution of financial services and ensure effective and transparent utilization of financial resources. Financial analysts must obtain and compile information regarding the costs incurred in corporate financial statements. They will communicate with various lead members of our HQ Human Resources and Growth teams, and senior Financial leaders.

This position offers the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule fostering team engagement at the Falls Church, Virginia office two to three days per week.

HOW A FINANCIAL ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Perform financial analysis and reporting in order to monitor finances associated with business operations
• Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and generate financial reports as required
• Develop and maintain financial models/applications to automate and streamline business processes and perform financial analysis
• Have a strong foundation in forecasting and budgeting to help track estimated costs at completion
• Identify and resolve financial discrepancies and coordinate corrective action
• Perform monthly forecasting, account reconciliations
• Strong communication and presentation skills to interact with Department owners
• Prepare documentation to support the budgetary process in accordance with government contracting principles
• Support the coordination of procurements and payments with subcontractors and vendors.
• Track and manage funding activities of obligations and expenditures in partnership with AP and Supply Chain
• Report, analyze, and interpret financial and operating information for management to make timely and sound business decisions
• Be knowledgeable of and compliant with internal policies and procedures, as well as government regulations
• Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedure

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Bachelor's Degree or an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree
Required Experience: 2+ years of previous finance, government contracts, or related industry experience
Required Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS products, particularly Excel, familiarity with Oracle reporting suite or similar (Costpoint/SAP/Cognos)
Required Skills and Abilities: Communication, problem solving, presentation, analysis, customer service.

Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Tableau and/or PowerBI

The likely salary range for this position is $63,750 - $86,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
