OR
Completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in financial administration.
OR
Completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in financial administration.
OR
Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications.

Unless required by legislation, the selected candidate will begin at Pay Grade 14, Step 1 of the Exempt Pay Range Schedule ($37.53 per hour), with an opportunity for pay increase after six months ($39.67) of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
The Financial Program Manager will work within the Center of Public Health Excellence to manage and coordinate budget and financial policies and procedures. This position will provide policy direction and technical guidance to office chief in establishment of budget control figures. Additional duties may include:
- Development of programmatic budgets from all revenue sources and maintains appropriate budgetary and fiscal control for assigned programs and grants.
- Monitor applicable regulatory changes, provide direction office/bureau chiefs in the implementation of these changes to ensure compliance.
- Draft and/or oversee preparation of summary budget reports (e.g., budget status, spending plans, status of grant applications) for Grant Services Unit administrator and program managers.
- Serve as program liaison.
- Develop proposals and administers program projects (e.g., plans, directs, organizes and manages administrative activities of assigned programs).
- Direct development of state budget process and programmatic budgets for assigned offices/bureaus
