You will report to the Head of Fleet Response and can be based out of Mountain View, CA; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ or Austin, TX.

In this role you'll:
  • Develop standard operating and change management processes
  • Liaison with cross functional teams to ensure the right processes and escalation paths are in place
  • Lead the change management and communications strategy for complex business-driven vendor operations initiatives, assessing the needs of the project, developing and getting buy-in, implementing plans, and tracking effectiveness.
  • Work with cross functional partners to ensure the successful evolution and execution of Waymo programs.
  • Work on a revolving set of high impact priorities and projects.
  • Contribute to program initiatives by developing and realizing overall operations strategy, defining scope of work, understanding business requirements and needs, implementing new processes, and contributing to ongoing operational process improvements.
  • Lead regular internal business reviews and effectively partner with cross-functional teams both locally and globally to drive continuous improvement against topline metrics.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:
  • Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of a degree, an additional 4+ years of work experience with program management in operations, strategy, and planning
  • At least 7+ years of experience in operations, management consulting, strategy, vendor management, or relevant outsourcing engagements
  • Experience driving complex projects on tight timelines
  • Change management experience in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Strategy, project management, problem-solving, analysis, and communication skills with good business judgment
  • Ability to travel 10-25% as business demands

It's preferred if you have:
  • Masters or MBA degree
  • 8-10 years of experience in operations, management consulting, strategy, vendor management, or relevant outsourcing engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with and align executive stakeholders across a diverse geographic and functional landscape.
  • Certification in Lean (Six Sigma Belt or similar), or Project Management (PMP or similar)

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo's discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
