Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) Cook Chill Production Center is recruiting to fill a part-time Grade 5 Food Service Worker 1 positions. In operation since 1994, the Cook Chill Production Center (CCPC) not only serves NYS Office of Mental Health facilities, but we also serve government facilities, private state facilities, and Not-For-Profit agencies. That's approximately 15,000 pounds of food being delivered annually in refrigerated trucks from Buffalo to Long Island! This position plays an important role in ensuring the continued success of the food production for facilities across the state. Specific duties to be performed may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Assist in weighing, measuring and labeling ingredients necessary for recipes.
• Assist in the preparation, cooking, chilling and packaging of food products in accordance with CCPC, local, state and federal health code standards.
• Clean, sanitize and maintain work areas and food equipment in accordance with CCPC standards before and after each workday.
• Assist in the breakdown and reassembly of food equipment in accordance with manufacturer's specifications.
• Wash pots, pans and utensils by hand and machine in the ware washroom.
• Unload delivery trucks and place bulk deliveries in appropriate storage areas.
Additional Comments Part-Time Schedule: 8:00am - 12:00pm OR 11:45am - 4:15pm with 30 minute lunch. Extra hours expected as needed.
