GGC Network Engineer

Job Title:GGC Network Engineer 3
Location: Lawrenceville, GA
Duration: 6+ months contract

Position Overview:
As a GGC Network Engineer 3, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, security, and scalability of our network infrastructure. Collaborating with our Network Team and Department Director, you will provide technical support, deploy/maintain core switches, manage campus telephone systems, and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Network Team to ensure network security and connectivity.
• Provide end-user support for network issues based on business priorities.
• Deploy, maintain, and manage core and edge switches.
• Maintain campus telephone system including SIP, PRI, and VoIP.
• Manage host name servers, DNS, and DHCP.
• Ensure proxy authentication through NPS and Radius.
• Mentor junior team members and provide guidance.
• Research and make recommendations to improve networking standards.
• Be on-call 24x7 for emergency network issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with IP networks and supporting systems.
• Proficiency in Cisco Catalyst switches, enterprise networking, and routing.
• Experience with Extreme Devices and Hive Manager.
• Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls and Cisco VPN.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
