The OpsTech Supply Chain organization is seeking a Global Capital Planning Manager with a proven track record in delivery and project management experience. This role will oversee strategic, tactical, cross-functional, and technology projects and programs, as well as leading a dynamic team. This position is pivotal in managing global planning and funding processes across various Amazon internal business initiatives, with a focus on the IT Category and the needs of Delivery, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain Teams. As the Global Capital Planning Manager, this role will oversee four primary pillars: Operational Planning Cycles, Capital Funding, Capital Governance, and Continuous Improvement. This role requires strategic thinking, problem solving, data driven decision making and ability to drive change management to be successful.

Key job responsibilities

- Oversee the Global IT Capital Planning process, managing a team responsible for a capital budget exceeding $700M.

- Lead a global team of seven Program Managers handling nearly 100 annual Capital Appropriation Requests (CARs), supporting yearly funding of approximately $700M.

- Provide strategic guidance and direction to ensure accurate and streamlined processes for Operational Planning Cycles, CAR funding, and budget tracking.

- Define a vision and strategic initiatives (3 to 5-year horizon) to enhance the capital planning process, driving efficiency and accuracy optimizing long-term financial efficiency within the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of the IT Category within WW Operations

- Collaborate horizontally and vertically with 30+ distributed business units and finance organizations to centralize IT Category spend.

- Balance business critical priorities and manage timely escalations with L8 and L10 leaders.

- Coach and develop team members, identifying growth opportunities to support team expansion and deliver scalable solutions efficiently.

- Foster a culture of inclusion and growth, nurturing leadership qualities within the team and across the organization.

- Demonstrate a strong bias for action, delivering independently and solving critical problems effectively.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

- 5+ years of team management experience

- 5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
