Selling Partner Support (SPS) is responsible for creating a trustworthy shopping experience across Amazon stores worldwide by protecting customers, brands, selling partners and Amazon from fraud, counterfeit, and abuse as well as empowering, providing world-class support, and building loyalty with Amazon's millions of selling partners. The purpose of our Global Process and Policy Experience (GPPX) team is to be advocates of our sellers. We build mechanisms to inspect quality of our processes and policies, and drive strategic initiatives that help us improve our processes and policies. We also own some key business mechanisms that drive improvement prioritizations across the SPS org working with a complex set of stakeholders, metric owners, goal owners and organization leaders.

We are looking for a detail oriented, innovative and experienced GPPX Governance Lead to develop scalable governance mechanisms and a standard framework, with a focus on connecting project owners, managers and leaders together to enable them to increase the delivery for the Selling Partners. You will apply program management, systems thinking principles supported by an efficient project management framework to drive solutions. Above all, we are looking for a leader that is passionate about solving complex and ambiguous problems through simplification and innovation. This role will directly report to the GPPX Leader. The role is based in Seattle or HQ2.

Key job responsibilities

• \tYou will develop a system that contains a centralized project tracking process, standard portfolio reviews, and automated self-service dashboards that enable project owners to manage their portfolio autonomously, managers to identify and remove roadblocks in their teams, and leaders to have visibility on projects and benefit.

• \tYou will define, lead and support the execution of the operational planning cycles for the GPPX organization. This includes defining the working backwards plan, ensuring high quality write ups, providing visibility of the planning cycles for contribution, transparency and information across the organization.

• \tYou will lead the portfolio review mechanism across the organization, evaluating the return of investment from the allocation of headcount and the delivery of the various projects and programs against business goals. Through risk management and portfolio insight assessments, you will facilitate agile decisions with leaders to ensure delivery of value for customers and employees.

• \tYou will define the rhythm of business (ROB) for GPPX org to ensure that the most important topics bubble up and are discussed at the right frequencies with the leadership group.

• \tYou will innovate on the inspection mechanisms needed to keep the organization running healthy and bring focus to pain points that need closer attention.

• \tYou will be accountable to keep the important organization workstreams (such as new hire experience, GPPX branding, employee surveys, engagement and fun) on track with the help of single threaded leaders who will be responsible to execute the plans on these workstreams. You will help mitigate risks or bubble them up for leadership attention at appropriate forums.

• \tYou will define standards and reduce the manual effort involved in the write up of high-quality business reviews in the GPPX organization - defining standard process and best practices along the way.

• \tYou will own the goal tracking and inspection mechanism for the org.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- 4+ years of managing stakeholders in cross-functional project experience

- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

- High attention to detail including precise and effective stakeholders' communications and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

- PMP, SCRUM Master or Product Owner certified, or similar experience.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
