High School Math Teacher position available in Chickasaw, Alabama.
  • Duties Include:
    Instruct high school students in Mathematics through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and
    classwork and homework assignments.
  • Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and
    projects, and communicate those objectives to students.
  • Establish and enforce rules for behavior
    and procedures for maintaining order among students.
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
  • Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by state laws and district policies.
  • Assign and grade student classwork and homework. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and other assignments to evaluate students' progress in various Mathematics subjects.
  • Enforce all administration policies and rules governing student conduct and academic standards. Guide and counsel students with academic problems and/or special academic interests.
  • Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following state curriculum requirements and district guidance. Perform other related tasks as necessary.


Requirements:
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics, or the foreign equivalent.
    Must have at least two (2) years of prior full-time experience as a high school mathematics teacher.
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain an Alabama Professional Educator Certificate.
