We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Business Partner to join our team with the Human Resources Division.

The Human Resource Business Partner will provide Human Resources support in the areas of, but not limited to:
  • Business Partner
    • Provide day-to-day human resources support and counsel in the areas of recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, employment documentation, policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
    • Apply in-depth understanding and guidance on the application of various employment laws as they relate to recruitment to include Title VII, ADA, Service Contract Act, FLSA, and other Federal, State and Local legislation/regulations to support customer base of management and employees.
    • Research, evaluate, and maintain company policies and practices recommending changes as necessary.
  • Employee Relations
    • Prepare for, conduct, and resolve employee relations claims, union grievances and Disciplinary Action Committee investigations
    • Provide discovery and prepare draft responses to the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Claims, Integrity Hotline complaints, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and other agency claims, as required
    • Coordinate and arrange Fitness for Duty (FFD) and other companies required testing resulting from employee relations actions and provide employees with Employee Assistance Program direction, as necessary
    • Identify employee relations trends, recommend solutions, and execute courses of action upon HR Manager approval
    • Participate as a key contributor in company employee and labor relations items and training as well as prepare and maintain employee relations claim reports
  • Compensation
    • Assist with the administration of the company's annual merit planning
    • Develop and maintain a promotion plan and administer out-of-cycle adjustments
    • Perform compensation analysis on internal & external offers
    • Prepare compensation reports and analysis to include Data Requirements Documents (DRDs), Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Employment Statistics, local surveys, and other requests
    • Maintain contract-wide statistics on various HR metrics to include compensation-related metrics
    • Collect and analyze comp survey data to determine the company's CLG competitiveness
    • Design, develop, run, and maintain standard and custom query reports for ongoing customer needs
    • Miscellaneous
    • Engage in other HR activities such as training, benefits, retention, recruiting and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as required


Requisition Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 10 years of experience
  • Must have progressive and relevant human resources experience
  • Prior involvement in the entire process of employee relations claims (taking the initial claim information, conducting investigations, analyzing data to make recommendations for resolution) is required
  • Versed to effectively communicate in writing via proper documentation, as appropriate, for the needs of the audience (internal and external entities) and possess the ability to understand and communicate the analysis in written and oral form
  • You must have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to interface with all levels of management
  • Must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy while multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess strong independence as well as collaborative problem-solving skills and the ability to perform duties with minimal direction
  • Must maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality

Requisition Preferences:
  • The ideal candidate should have experience in the Engineering/Aerospace industry
  • Proven leadership and demonstrated results as a business partner/generalist
  • Experience in government contracting environment

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
