Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly organized and results driven individual to join our Human Resources team. This role will be responsible for managing the internal and external recruitment process, supporting our employee engagement through communication and appreciation events, managing employee data in the HRIS system, supporting accurate administration of timekeeping, payroll, and benefits. A Human Resources Generalist works with the team to ensure we are following our company's processes while living our purpose and values and adhering to safety and quality standards, ultimately creating and supporting our company culture. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker and can meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job requisitions and postings, candidate screenings, interviews, and selection, pre-employment screenings, and welcome emails
  • Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new employees

Employee Engagement
  • Communicate important messages, events, and updates through email and the weekly newsletter
  • Support the annual Employee Engagement Survey process including the implementation of action plans
  • Administer employee recognition programs
  • Support the Activities Committee events including monthly luncheons

Employee Relations
  • Address employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support resolving workplace issues
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and provide recommendations to management on employee performance and disciplinary actions

Compliance and Record Keeping
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS (SuccessFactors), including personnel files and documentation.

Benefits Administration
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, and vision insurance etc.
  • Communicate and support the annual open enrollment and new hire enrollment processes
  • Assist employees with benefits-related questions and issues
  • Manage the leave of absence process including STD, LTD, and FMLA

Training and Development
  • Assist in the identification and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and performance
  • Recommend courses and career paths to support employee growth and development
  • Provide guidance to managers on performance management and employee development

Performance Management
  • Support performance management processes
  • Run reports and communicate completion status of mid-year and year-end evaluations

Health and Safety
  • Support health and safety initiatives in accordance with OSHA and company policies
  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment and addressing workplace safety concerns
  • Attend monthly safety trainings

HR Projects
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives to support organizational goals and HR processes
  • Analyze HR metrics to provide recommendations for continuous improvement


Qualifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and tact
  • Proven organizational, multi-tasking, prioritization, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work accurately with figures and to perform detailed work
  • Ability to exercise judgment and initiative
  • Comfort with technology and strong ability to learn new systems
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems, SuccessFactors, a plus


Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
  • Fully site based
  • Climate controlled manufacturing plant
  • Protective eyewear and footwear required
