Position Location: Hybrid in Phoenix, AZ (2 days in office, 2 remote)

Impact/Function this role has within the bank/LOB:

Site reliability center, operations and response team - supports incident management, problem management and observability

Industry background:

Database Engineering background (performance tuning, optimization) - required

Oracle- Database background - preferred

Technology background required - banking nice to have - knowledge of SRE concepts required

Roles and Responsibilities:

Incident management, engage on response calls, problem management, participating in scripting and automation, implement solutions for performance tuning, troubleshooting and capacity planning, implement proactive monitoring and alerting to detect issues, documentation that includes data standard procedures and definitions, monitoring database performance, Recommend query and schema changes to optimize the performance of database queries.

Must Have Technical Skills:

- MSSQL Administration

- Database Engineering background (performance tuning, optimization)

- SRE Skill Set (Automation, Monitoring, Incident response, capacity Planning)

- Scripting (PowerShell/Python/Ansible),

- Familiarity with Version control systems,

- Knowledge of cloud platforms

- Experience with Database replication & HA solutions,

- Familiarity with agile methodologies, industry best practices for Database Management & DevOps

Flex Skills/Nice to Have:

- Oracle- Database background

- MySQL/MongoDB/Exadata experience

- Cassandra

- Experience with cloud-based environment (OCI, AWS, Azure) as well as On-Premise

- Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management (Jira, Confluence, Ansible, Gitlab, Terraform)

Education Required: Preferred bachelor's degree in a technical field or relevant work experience - no certifications required or nice to have

1st ITV 30 minutes with HM

2nd ITV 45 mins with subject matter experts on the team to conduct a technical ITV
