The Legal Office is looking for a dedicated Junior Associate Counsel who will:
  • Assist Chief Legal Counsel & Assistant Chief Legal Counsel as requested.
  • Provide general government legal counsel, including vendor contracts, public records, open meetings & other general legal matters.
  • Perform general legal research & draft memoranda on legal issues that affect the agency including real estate & affordable housing, ethics, general corporate, employment & state law questions.
  • Review due diligence & draft real estate loan agreements & miscellaneous funding agreements for multifamily lending loan programs.
  • Review requests for modifications of existing documents & prepare appropriate amendments.

HYBRID Work: Employees in this position are eligible for OHFA's Teleworking Policy unless operational needs require otherwise. Currently, employees participating in teleworking are required to come into OHFA's offices two (2) days a week & may work from an alternative work location three (3) days per week. Qualifications

The Legal Office is seeking a Junior Associate Counsel with the following work experience, education & training:

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio
  • Past government contract experience
  • Past real estate experience or drafting of loan documents (e.g., multifamily &/or commercial real estate) preferred
