The Legal Office is looking for a dedicated Legal Assistant who will:
  • Provide legal assistance to three (3) to four (4) attorneys in the Legal Department, working on a variety of issues including government contracts, affordable housing programs, loan closings, public records, open meetings & administrative rules.
  • Exhibit attention to detail & courteous customer service to excel in a collaborative environment & provide proactive support to the legal team.
  • Assist attorneys in tracking, processing, drafting & negotiating affordable housing programs contracts & agreements.
  • Utilize proficiency in computer programs & software including Westlaw/Lexis & Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

HYBRID Work: Employees in this position are eligible for OHFA's Teleworking Policy unless operational needs require otherwise . Currently, employees participating in teleworking are required to come into OHFA's offices two (2) days a week & may work from an alternative work location three (3) days per week. OHFA's offices are located at 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231.

Qualifications

The Legal Office is seeking a Legal Assistant with the following work experience, education & training:

  • More than four (4) years of experience as a legal assistant in government or private practice
