You will deliver unbiased, thoroughly researched and documented product specifications, on competitors inforce annuity contracts and optional benefits for advisors looking to make informed decision that are in the best interest of their clients. They will identify inforce product trends to create sales opportunities for the sales teams. This resource will be a unique, value-add advisor service for ALFS' internal and external teams that does not exist with wholesale broker dealers. This individual will serve as the primary market consultant on competitive intelligence and insights of traditional variable annuities to Senior Leadership.

What you do:Research, analyze and synthesize specifications on in-force fixed/fixed index/ variable annuity contracts and optional benefits elected from numerous companies that advisors are seeking information.

Communicate and educate the analysis to ALFS' internal/external sales teams to support their producers/prospects in making informed and suitable recommendations about existing products to their clients.

Collaborate with the Sales Enablement Team to develop a process to measure: sales generated through analysis completed for advisors. Communicate to ALFS' internal/external sales teams the results, best practices and potential opportunities/trends within the in-force annuity industry.

Monitor FIA/variable annuity product filings and annotate the specifications of new living benefit riders and/or rider changes for historical reference.

Collaborate with the Advanced Analytics team to design and use AI systems to support and streamline the value-add services of this role.

What you bring:
  • 8-10 years of experience required.
  • Experience in the financial services industry and/or market/competitive intelligence and at gathering and interpreting marketplace information. A historical perspective of the annuity marketplace with the ability to research products that were sold 10+ years ago and an understanding of how to monitor the annuity landscape, reviewing SEC prospectus filings.
  • Four-year degree required.
  • FINRA Series 6 & 63 required.
