  • People Management\\: Responsible for a team dedicated to driving planning efforts and offer support, feedback, mentorship, and avenues for professional development.
  • Product Roadmap Planning\\: Lead all aspects of planning for the product line portfolio and ensure project well-being and precise financial predictions.
  • Financial Management & Governance\\: Maintain the overall portfolio budget and ensure projects are prioritized and managed within budget.
  • Collaboration with Other SCE Groups\\: Work closely with other IT teams and individuals to ensure projects are aligned and successfully delivered.
  • Supporting IT Enterprise Services\\: Assist in supporting the objectives of the IT Enterprise Services organization and offer suggestions for enhancing processes.
  • A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.

  • Develop strategic plans for technology initiatives within the portfolio.
  • Leading the development and periodic refresh of the strategic roadmap within the product line portfolio.
  • Ensure the portfolio of technology initiatives is aligned with business objectives and optimized for success.
  • Defining multiple options to introduce or mature business capabilities and understanding the financial impact of each solution.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and managing their expectations.
  • Collaborate with business experts to understand their needs and recommend technology solutions.
  • Develop IT operating plans based on recommended technology initiatives.
  • Define and lead project requirements to meet business objectives
  • Develop comprehensive cases, inclusive of project justification, to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Establishing monitoring and tracking techniques for benefits realization value tracking at the completion of each project.
  • Implementing effective strategies in product management, project management, optimization, and reporting.
  • Collaborating with key individuals to ensure alignment and capacity to meet project timelines, adherence to budget, and achievement of business goals.
  • Attending project governance committee meetings to assess change requests and ensure they align with the organization's objectives.
  • Coordinate and lead dependencies across people, systems, and budget.
  • Ensure organizational readiness for project implementation and provide effective communication throughout the portfolio.
  • Assisting the PMO in the development and implementation of performance indicators.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for risk management and resolving issues.
  • As required, developing GRC testimony and responding to data requests from ratepayer advocacy groups.

The essentials
  • Ten (10) or more years of project management experience leading projects handling scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in IT Program Management or with large enterprise projects.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience managing suppliers, service contracts, project metrics, and contracts.
  • One (1) or more years of experience as a Program Manager for large or complex initiatives, working with various Agile techniques and methodologies.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience as a Project Manager, handling medium to large technology projects against scope, schedule and budget, using matrixed teams and resources, including vendors under statements of work and contracts (fixed bid and/or time-and-materials).
  • Three (3) or more years of experience handling project quality, including quality assurance, metrics and quality controls.

The preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience working in Information Technology for an electric utility.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience managing an organization.
  • Five (5) or more years of IT portfolio and customer relationship management experience.
  • One or more of the following Certificates and/or Licenses\\: PMP (Project Management Professional), PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner), or CSM (Certified Scrum Master).

You should know
  • This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs

  • The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA however, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for a period out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
