OVERVIEW

The Software Test Engineer will design, develop, and execute SW regression test procedures for military ground vehicles. The primary focus is to support SW regression testing for both internal and external SW releases. Secondary focus is to support overall vehicle level system regression testing. The testing will be done using virtual and HW test environments up to, and including, testing on the vehicle.

This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance).

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Developing software program testing plans.
  • Reviewing software requirements and preparing/writing manual tests as required to evaluate software product.
  • Executing tests on software usability in a simulated environment and/or vehicle.
  • Using the software as intended to analyze its functional properties against pass/fail criteria.
  • Develop and execute test that check the software's management of error states and the recovery of the SW from error states.
  • Prepare test reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and clearly reporting failures to the design team.
  • Work cross-functionally with product and program management teams to support program deliverables.
  • Support contractual deliverables as required by customer.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or computer science.
  • 7+ years of demonstrated experience in embedded SW test. This includes demonstrated work experience in unit, static, and SW regression testing and test tools.
  • Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems. Knowledgeable in one or more RT Linux operating systems.
  • Ability to write complex SW test procedures that include boundary condition and negative case testing.
  • Knowledgeable in one or more SW testing suites.
  • Knowledgeable is systems design and systems test are a plus.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience working on ground combat/automotive vehicles desired.
  • This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles.
  • Ability to work occasional weekends, evenings and overtime is required.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Active member of one or more Agile development projects.

This position will require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles. This individual will need to pass an ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space).
