Description of Duties:

The IT Multidisciplinary Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:
• Provide on-site and remote engineering troubleshooting support for customer equipment and fix issues as required.
• Provide on-site engineering customer support for mission and/or test events.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Operations Center equipment and workstation configurations.
• Provide technical support for enterprise networking and infrastructure projects, specifically fiberoptic cabling.
• Resolve daily organizational assigned tasks.
• Track all work using the Remedy ticketing system and Aspen project tracking system.
• Provide IPTV and VTC (Video Teleconferencing) support as required.
• Provide network, server, and infrastructure support, specifically:

o Learn drafting with CAD software (Visio / AutoCAD)

o Assist in the drafting of designs / configurations (Visio / AutoCAD)

o Learn applicable codes for facility design

o Draft requirements gathering for projects

o Develop and review of project specifications

o Develop of bill of materials for project designs
• Provide remote support to other team members within the branch.
• Participate rotation of on-call support for after-hours and weekend situations.
• Provide VOIP support as needed by the mission and site requirements.
• Tele-work (within local area) is available for brief periods, but on-site support is required for all projects, missions, and test events.
• Job Related Travel will also be required. Approximately 10% of average year.
• Will require off-hours and weekend on-site support during mission/test events.
• Provide support for all GMD areas in the MDIOC, other locations as assigned.
• Escort contractors and event visitors, as required by the site director / task order lead.

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 12 years of general experience; Associate's degree and 10 years of general experience; Bachelor's degree and 8 years of general experience; Master's degree and 6 years of general experience
• Must have at least 7 years of directly related experience in providing IT and/or Engineering mission solutions.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in management or leadership roles.
• Must have experience in a working in a customer-facing support role.
• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Desired Requirements:
• Have a current DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification. (CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or higher)
• Have a CompTIA Network+ Certification
• Have experience working directly with the GMD customer and/or GMD Mission Spaces at the MDIOC
• Have a GMD Basic and/or GMD Configuration Course Certificate
• Have experience with Fusion Splicing fiberoptic cabling
• Have an active Top Secret Clearance

This position is expected to pay $104,000 - $129,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
