Java Developer

Insight Global is currently seeking talented Mid-level Fullstack Engineers with experience using Java Spring (or SpringBoot) to develop APIs and React for UI. You will be responsible for working on multiple applications within the fees and commissions space for a large multi-national banking firm. This role will be developing and enhancing applications that will be containerized and deployed to an on prem environment. You will be responsible for performing unit and integration tests for the applications as there is not a separate QA team. You should anticipate writing code for majority if not all your day since you will be coding for a brand-new build. The team is creating a new flow in the billing system by switching the sourcing data from the current source to Snowflake. The team requires 5-days of onsite work per week at the office in New York city. Pay rate is between $40-$50hr and is dependant upon experience.

Required Skills & Experience
• 3-5 years of strong programming skills in Java with proficiency in object-oriented design principles
• Experience with Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate
• Familiarity with web development frameworks (Angular or React)
• Familiarity with distributed storage systems like DB2, Oracle, Cassandra, MongoDB
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, especially using Git
• SQL Experience
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Previous Goldman Sachs experience
- Financial industry experience
