Jr. AS400 Support Specialist

Insight Global is looking for a Junior AS400 iSeries specialist to join one of our enterprise financial clients local to Plano, TX. They will support critical AS400 systems and applications for the Markets Futures business. The role will involve hands-on management of critical batches, Incident Management, Monitoring of critical processes and functional releases. This role requires partnership with Infrastructure and Development partners to maintain a stable and resilient platform.

Critical Futures process such as margin calculations, books and records, client reporting and regulatory reporting rely on the AS400 platform. A core level of AS400 resources are required during AMRS shifts to ensure critical processes are completed within SLA to avoid client, financial and regulatory reporting impact.

Failure to react in a timely manner to batch issues could lead to:
Client impact: Delayed delivery of client reports, in particular Daily Valuation Margin Reports, delayed notification of breaks to clients and delayed response to client queries
Regulatory: Hong Kong regulator (HKEX rule 617) requires DVMR reports to be delivered before midnight
Regulatory: NFRR Failure to make adjustments by ICE Open Interest Management reporting SLA of 5.00 AM ET and LME Commodities Position reporting SLO of.30 AM ET need to be reported to ICE and LME Exchanges
Regulatory: Client Money substitution events for EMEA entities are dependent on availability of reconciliations by 6.30 AM ET
Collateral Management: Unable to adjust margin calls
Operational: Delays / extended hours to complete Operations processes

Required Skills & Experience
- Experience with AS400 iSeries
- 3+ years of Production and Application support experience
- Experienced in batch support and batch releases
- Experienced SQL knowledge

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Financial industry experience- ideally in Global Markets
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
- Working knowledge of ITRS - Geneos
- Experience with ticketing applications like Remedy
