Position Summary:

The Department of Microbiology and Immunology is in search of a hourly lab research technician to do the following:
  • Animal handling
  • Harvest
  • Feeding and genotyping mice
  • Immunohistochemistry
  • Western blotting
  • ELISA
  • Data collection
  • GraphPad Prism data analysis and graphing
  • RNA isolation
  • DNA purification
  • PCR
  • Other duties as determined by supervisor
Required Qualifications:
  • MS in microbiology or related field
  • Must have a demonstrated commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion in past experiences or a commitment to do so as a hourly employee at VCU
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experienced in animal work
