Volt is immediately hiring a Lab Tech II in Maplewood, MN with a well-known industry leader. As a Laboratory Technician you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

This is a first shift, full-time contingent opportunity.

As a Lab Tech II, you will:
  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and experiments on industrial products, following established protocols and procedures
  • Prepare and characterize samples and resins using prescribed formulations and test methods while adhering to strict safety guidelines
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data accurately and efficiently
  • Document and report test results, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during testing
  • Maintain clean equipment and lab space for safe operation

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate, Technical degree, or higher in a relevant science or engineering field (ex. Chemistry, materials science, or mechanical engineering)
    • Strong technical and/or mechanical background
    • Experience with pilot or production manufacturing equipment
    • Familiarity with safe chemical handling practices
    • Hands-on, self-starter approach
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
    • Comfort working with equipment user interfaces and Microsoft Excel
    • Good written and oral communication skills
    • Reliability and consistency
Estimated Duration up to 24 months.

Pay Rate: $25.95 per hour
