Summary
The Apple Services Engineering (ASE) team is one of the most exciting examples of Apple's long-held passion for combining art and technology. These are the people who power the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Books, and iCloud, among other services. And they do it on a massive scale, meeting Apple's high expectations with high performance to deliver a variety of entertainment in over 35 languages to more than 150 countries.
We're looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, and creative communications lead who can help us connect our people to our purpose. In this role, you'll bring your talents to develop and execute internal and executive communications. This work will bring our ideas, products, and values to life, connecting with teams across geographies and functions while elevating the employee experience.
This role will provide internal communications support to Apple Services Engineering, with a specific focus on the Cloud Systems & Platforms (CSP) team within the group. CSP includes 2,000 employees who are responsible for building and running the cloud infrastructure used across Apple, and the server systems and platforms underpinning many of our Services. You will help craft CSP's communications to employees across a variety of channels, including email, Slack, internal Websites, and All-Hands events, working in partnership with the respective subject matter experts. In addition to summarizing technical and business concepts in writing, you will help shape and review content for select All-Hands events, and provide support for event management and execution as needed.
The right person enjoys crafting and editing messages, building comms plans, managing communications channels, gathering feedback and metrics to improve communications' effectiveness, and consulting on communications strategy. If you thrive in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment and are adept at building your internal network to gather information, we encourage you to apply!

Description
In this role you'll work directly with executives and cross-functional partners to develop content that informs, engages, and inspires Apple Services Engineering (ASE) employees. You will provide writing support to senior executives for a global engineering audience, with a specific focus on the Cloud Systems & Platforms (CSP) team within ASE. This work will include emails and Slack posts, as well as the coordination, development, and delivery of executive-level presentations and their key elements, including Keynote slides and scripts that demonstrate engineering thought leadership. In addition, you will lead general business communications for CSP, and ASE as needed, to ensure organizational alignment and effectiveness.
You will also deliver internal communications to a global and hybrid audience, through the planning and execution of org-wide all-hands meetings. The candidate will primarily focus on the messaging for these events, but they should have strong project management experience and feel comfortable creating work-back plans and show flows for tactical event execution as needed.
You'll be joining a communications team within ASE and support all-ASE communications initiatives as the need arises.
In partnership with your team, you'll execute against communications needs and explore new ways to engage employees in a rapidly growing area of our business. Through relationship building and networking, you'll help us find and tell the stories that matter and make a difference for employees. Your input will help shape what format we use to tell these stories, supporting their amplification to our global audience. You'll measure and track results, and provide reporting to refine and improve our internal communication, with an eye to uncovering the right approach to reach high levels of employee engagement.
Strong project management skills are essential, along with superb writing and editing. You will have experience creating comms plans and executing content strategies that engage audiences. Through networking you will seek to understand the latest feature developments, team culture, and employee sentiment, which will help CSP's leadership deliver the right message at the right time. Successful candidates will be highly collaborative, flexible, and proactive, with a positive attitude and the ability to influence stakeholders to effective outcomes.
