Join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) Industry team to execute on the industry strategy by working backwards and in collaboration with the world's most innovative companies. Our team focuses on engaging directly with technical leaders, C-level executives and influencers at all levels across the Life Sciences segment and around the world to support a digitally-enhanced, data-driven healthcare.

As an Industry Specialist for Life Sciences, you will be part of the HCLS Business Development team that shapes and delivers on a life sciences strategy to help the healthcare ecosystem transform. Your responsibilities will include engaging with C-suite customers across Healthcare and Life Sciences organizations to deepen our relationships, working with strategic industry partners, attending and speaking at industry events to drive thought leadership, leading the process to guide our Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, and creating significant business opportunities for AWS.

You will work closely with the AWS sales leadership in engaging with Healthcare and Life Sciences organizations at the executive level (CxO/SVP/VP) to drive their strategic interactions with clients. You will think strategically and analytically about business, product, and technical challenges and build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. You will lead and drive multiple complex initiatives across technical and non-technical stakeholders to meet business objectives with a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, strong data and metrics, a good understanding of industry ecosystems for Healthcare and Life Sciences, and a passion for helping them transform using cloud technologies. You will work closely with the AWS product and services teams to help evolve AWS offerings for more rapid adoption by customers.

Key job responsibilities

• Act as Industry Specialist in Life Sciences and Healthcare domains (HCLS)

• Engage with our customers to unlock strategic opportunities and how AWS can help address their business needs

• Work with technical experts to adapt AWS cloud services to core industry problems

• Interact with C-Level business stakeholders and process owners to define and execute roadmaps

A day in the life

Your responsibilities will include acting as a business trusted advisor to our HCLS customers, internal AWS sales and account teams, identify and gather HCLS market signals to define our GtM strategy, and engage in increasing our thought leadership and market visibility in the region.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 10+ years of relevant work experience in Life Sciences or related industry, technology-enabled consulting, product management, product marketing, business development, and/or transformation roles in the enterprise across healthcare

- 6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

- 6+ years of responding to requests for proposals (e.g., determining requirements, matching requirements to technical approach and solutions, developing solutions against requirements) experience

- 6+ years of experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
