OVERVIEW OF ROLE: We are currently seeking a Logistics Sales Representative for the US Mid-Atlantic region, tasked with expanding Ward Logistics' multi-mode brokerage business among ideal prospects, primarily focusing on shippers in North America. In this position, your responsibilities will include identifying, researching, contacting, and qualifying leads to develop potential prospects. As the Logistics Inside Sales Specialist, you will engage in high-level conversations with managers and leaders, delving into discussions about their business and supply chain operations to facilitate access for our organization. The ideal candidate for this role is self-motivated, goal-oriented, driven, and possesses the ability to interact effectively with team members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate qualified leads and schedule sales appointments to discuss business needs.
- Utilize extensive cold calling and lead generation expertise to connect with a high daily volume of potential clients through phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn.
- Engage executives within targeted prospect accounts and facilitate discussions focused on their business requirements.
- Develop, manage, and nurture a sales pipeline comprising interested prospects.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to craft and execute prospect communications.
- Arrange customer calls and meetings.
- Employ lead generation tools proficiently to regularly extract contact information.
- Formulate effective strategies to drive a higher volume of qualified leads.
Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- This position has the opportunity to be designated as hybrid working. Employee would need to follow and adhere to all items outlined in the Teleworking policy.
- Current experience in a freight brokerage company or a third-party logistics company.
- Previous experience in transportation or trucking industries desired but not mandatory.
- Previous sales experience desired but not mandatory.
- Sound judgment, initiative and professional communication skills must be exhibited at all times when dealing with others to include third party carriers and customers.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize workload.
- Strong negotiation skills required.
- Possess good problem analysis skills and sound financial judgment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain motivation and energy for cold calling and prospecting carriers.
- Strong work ethic, fast learner.
- Self-starter and motivated to achieve.
- Great phone presence and effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Comfortable with computer and multiple applications.
- Minimal overnight travel required when needed.
