Our client, a well-established manufacturing company is looking to hire an experienced Maintenance Technician.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Execute maintenance, repairs (scheduled, unscheduled, and emergency) on production, processing, and packaging equipment, as well as utility systems, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to assess equipment reliability and optimize performance.
  • Technical Analysis: Interpret and analyze technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to carry out necessary maintenance and service.
  • New Equipment Installation: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Troubleshooting & Training: Support operators by providing training and troubleshooting assistance to reduce equipment downtime.
  • Work Order Management: Complete work orders efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Tool Utilization: Utilize a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to perform duties effectively.
  • Cross-Departmental Communication: Maintain open communication with other departments, management, and employees to address any issues that may impact production efficiency.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all repairs and maintenance activities, ensuring all paperwork is clear, legible, and in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on new products, equipment, technologies, and techniques, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
  • Parts Management: Anticipate parts requirements, follow proper purchasing procedures, and acquire parts proactively to ensure task readiness.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure safe working conditions for all employees, adhering to state and federal health and safety regulations.
  • GMP & Regulatory Compliance: Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and work in compliance with corporate, regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
  • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as required, adapting to the evolving needs of the role.

Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduation from a trade or technical school in areas such as electrical, PLC/HMI programming, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc., is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC, HVAC, or related fields, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control, and packaging equipment.
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
