The Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy at the University of Virginia seeks a Marketing/Communications Project Manager to provide administrative support and guidance to a wide spectrum of projects affiliated with the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy.

The Project Manager will participate in day-to-day administrative management of the School's Marketing and Communications Department. This will include attending presentation meetings, establishing a time and action line for each project, and assigning deliverable dates. The position involves working with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of each project.

Additionally, the Project Manager will:
  • Support ongoing administrative functions and operations. Perform a variety of duties requiring an understanding of organizational operations, organizational procedures, and personnel.
  • Formulate decisions and make recommendations regarding planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Ensure a basic budget and scope of work is attached to each project, and that project stays within the designated budget and scope.
  • Monitor overall workload to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
  • Evaluate each project component to make sure they meet the original project request.
  • Act as a liaison between all stakeholders to keep project on budget and deliverables deadline.
  • Escalate issues appropriately to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Two years of project management experience. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong attention to detail and proof-reading skills.
  • Excellent communication skills. Comfortable interacting with multiple levels of management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in higher education project management
  • Familiarity with project management software
  • Knowledge of design concepts and production timelines
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of software

The anticipated hiring range for this role is $64,000 - $75,000 commensurate with qualifications.
