Medix is looking to hire a Medical Services Manager (LVN) to join a well-established, non-profit Mental Health Center in Los Angeles, CA 90023.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Medical Services Manager will be working at a residential facility with adult clients, ages 18-59.
  • Responsible for planning and coordinating the activities of the medication room.
  • Oversee all medication room personnel and collaborate with other disciplines and departments to maintain safety and quality.
  • Administer Invega injections.
  • Review and process medical referrals from clinic and forward to Case Managers.
  • Track and ensure accuracy of the referrals process.
  • Supervise 4-5 medical technicians, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Oversee the schedule of Psychiatrists to ensure no overlaps.
  • Navigate the CareLogic EMR system.
  • On-call responsibilities to answer after hours questions from staff on site.

Requirements / Experience
  • Knowledge of behavior modification approach.
  • Experience in Behavioral Health and Psychiatric setting.
  • One (1) year experience as Nurse
  • One (1) year supervisory/management experience

Minimum Education Required

Associate Degree in Nursing

Essential Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Proven ability to work with adult clients.
  • Possesses knowledge of current trends in psychiatric client care, management theories, nursing acuities and therapeutic milieu, Client Rights, DMH, and Title 22 AOA requirements.
  • High degree of interpersonal skills, communication, and leadership, along with management skills in nursing, including organizing and staffing P.A.'s, M.H.A's, Medication Technicians and L.V.N.'s., L.P.T.'s, and all other medication room personnel.
  • Understanding of individual, group, and family psychotherapy.
  • Basic physical assessment skills and analytical data review.

Schedule:

Monday- Friday 8:00- 5:00 pm

Pay range:

$75,000- 80,000 annual salary
