Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation of requirements and technical designs, cost and risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. The position analyzes and defines user requirements, procedures and problems. As well as designs system solutions and specifications that incorporate software, data, network and hardware requirements.

Develops solutions for the full system life cycle from concept to disposal. Ensures system designs are compatible with the architecture. Identifies and evaluates the relevancy of COTS and GOTS to satisfy user, mission and system needs. The position manages user and mission requirements ensuring accurate documentation, thorough evaluation and complete traceability from inception through closure.

Work you'll do
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that incorporates technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into technical specs.
  • Consult with management to ensure agreement on system requirements.
  • Expand or modify system to serve new purposes or improve workflow.
  • Analyze and study complex system requirements.
  • Plan, analyze, and design information systems to solve mission needs and requirements.
  • Perform lifecycle systems planning, business information planning, business and analysis.
  • Analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.
  • Apply business process improvement practices to re-engineer methodologies and principles and business process modernization projects.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Active Secret Clearance is required
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or STEM related field
  • Minimum 2+ years and up to 10+ years of Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) experience
  • Strong understanding of how system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities are enabled by MBSE across the engineering lifecycle
  • Familiarity with application of UML/SysML modeling languages and experience applying this common structure to an MBSE solution
  • Familiarity with industry MBSE tools and modeling methodologies to successfully produce systems engineering models such as MagicDraw and Cameo Systems Modeler
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
Preferred:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of technology consulting or other relevant industry experience
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
  • BOXARR experience

This compensation range is specific to California and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,325 to $188,875.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
