Insight Global is seeking a remote Network Engineer for one of our telecommunications clients. This resource will be supporting a large migration project of 146 network points from one environment to another. On a day-to-day basis, this resource will assist with site due diligence (especially with ISONET sites), work hand-in-hand with planning and engineering teams to install new Cisco equipment for migration in 50 sites, utilize the lab for testing if necessary, and work on MOP creation and execution. This resource should have experience or working knowledge of telecom networks and hands-on experience with Cisco and Juniper equipment at a Layer 3 level. They must also possess BGP and OSPF design experience and have a collaborative, self-starter personality ideal for remote work. This resource can sit fully remote but will be working EST hours and must be prepared to work on a migration schedule starting at midnight during release dates.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years Cisco and Juniper equipment experience required
BGP, OPSF, and VRF design experience
Site due diligence work done remotely
MOP creation and execution experience (ability to potentially work outside 8-5 working hours.)
Prepare and submit firewall requests
Work through any fall out from migration
