The role you'll contribute:

The Patient Experience Specialist represents Florida Hospital and has daily contact with patients, families, physicians, staff and the community. Must present a professional image with strong credibility and project a positive and helpful demeanor while working with patients, visitors and staff. Deals sensitively and empathetically with patients and families who may be anxious or upset helping to create and maintain a positive image to the community.

The value you'll bring to the team:
  • Provides daily rounding on newly admitted patients for patient satisfaction needs.
  • Serves as a "problem-solver" to ensure patients and guests needs are appropriately addressed and/or assists in facilitating communication to the correct individual who can address their expressed concerns.
  • Provides immediate service recovery as needed under the guidance of the Director. Communicates these instances to the Director and follows up with Risk Management as needed.
  • Enters rounding information daily on the Patient Experience report and sends to management team in a by the end of the same work day.
  • Provides rounding and service recovery in the Emergency Department as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the patient and their families experience with the Organization, aimed at preventing events that have a negative impact on patient care.


Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :
  • Minimum qualifications :
    • High School diploma required


  • Preferred qualifications:
    • 2-4 years' experience in a clinical setting or bachelor's degree in lieu of clinical setting experience preferred.
    • Additional studies in healthcare administration, marketing and communications preferred or equivalent experience in customer service is also desirable.
