Pharmacy Operations Coordinator - Outpatient

JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision of pharmacy manager/supervisor, the Outpatient Pharmacy Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and directing technical staff, activities related to prescription processing, and third-party audits. The operations coordinator will participate in interviews, orientation of new employees, staff education, and provide feedback on technical staff evaluations. The operations coordinator will work closely with management to implement, monitor, and optimize related pharmacy services. Responsible for performing the job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.

Qualifications

• Required 5 years experience as a certified pharmacy technician in a retail / specialty pharmacy setting, or pharmacy benefits manager system.
• Must maintain current registered in the State of Florida as a Pharmacy Technician
• Must maintain current national certification as a pharmacy technician through PTCB.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook.
• In the absence of a current State of Florida, Board of Pharmacy issued permit as a Registration Pharmacy Technician, a current/active Pharmacy Intern permit, issued by State of Florida, Board of Pharmacy may be substituted.
