The role you'll contribute:

This position is responsible for the development, structure, and organization of, as well as the day to day operations within, Medical Staff Services and Physician Services. The coordinator will coordinate the projects behind the Physician Services Director and track the progress and follow up for the department while identifying areas requiring attention, reporting back to hospital departments and Medical Staff Members and work through solutions with direction from the Director. The position will administer and negotiate external contracts as assigned. The coordinator will be responsible for responding and fielding physician/AHP calls and inquiries; escalating to director when appropriate. Evening and weekend work as needed. Provides availability to team members, the entire Medical Staff and internal & external departments associated with Florida Hospital Tampa and the West Florida Hospital Division. This position performs all aspects of customer service and support, while maintaining all current standards and expectations between the Central Verification Office, Medical Staff Services, Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance (STARK) and Physician Services.

Responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

The value you'll bring to the team:

• Responsible for all meetings that fall under the organization of the Medical Staff office; seating set up, calendar invites (hospital administrators, physicians and key staff), electronic catering (eCatering) orders, etc. This includes monthly & quarterly Medical Staff meetings, as well as routine staff meetings with the team.

• Responsible for responding & fielding physician/AHP calls and inquiries; escalating to director when appropriate (Evening and Weekends apply)

• Responsible for administering/ coordinating external vendor contracts as assigned

• Shares joint responsibility to transcribe minutes for assigned Medical Staff meetings; Creates agenda and necessary documents for meetings /assemble packets.

• Oversees and manages the issuing of student shadowing/ observation opportunities in compliance with Florida Hospital guidelines.

Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

• B.A or B.S degree or 3 years' customer service experience in a fast-paced environment working with internal and external stakeholders.
