With a commitment to patient- and family-centered care, the Primary Care Nursing Operations Manager uses the nursing process in ways that values the uniqueness of each individual and addresses the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of the diversity of patients served by Jefferson Health. Under the direction of Jefferson Primary Care leadership, the Primary Care Nursing Operations Manager is responsible for the creation, enhancement, implementation and continuous improvement of standard clinical practicpole and programs across the primary care practices, and for leading a nursing team that supports Annual Wellness visits. She/he demonstrates the Jefferson leadership philosophy and provides team leadership including staff planning, team building and performance management that fosters excellence and teamwork. The Ambulatory Clinical Practice has responsibilities for hiring, scheduling, annual performance appraisals and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
Interacts with co-workers, patients, their family/designated care partner(s), and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.Integrates Evidence-Based Practice, clinical expertise, patients, their family/designated care partner(s) preferences and cultural beliefs and values for delivery of optimal healthcare.Partners with patients, their family/designated care partner(s)) in identifying learning needs and priorities and provides education in ways that are useful, understandable, and affirming.Uses information technology to communicate, manage knowledge, mitigate error, and support ethical decision making.
Responsible for the development and implementation of standardized programs and policies across primary care practice in partnership with clinical, administrative, and ambulatory nursing leadership.
Responsible for the implementation of clinical care pathways for common primary care conditions and participates actively in quality improvement opportunities.
Uses leadership skills to coordinate and delegate aspects of care to ambulatory annual wellness RN care team consistent with established policies and protocols.
Assists staff nurse with utilizing the nursing process in providing professional nursing care based on established nursing care standards, policies and procedures
Assists staff in implementing evidence-based practice to improve quality care
Facilitates orientation and continuous education of staff, competency responsibility.
Promote staff professional development
Demonstrates a commitment to learning and seeks opportunities for continued professional growth and development and acts in primary preceptor role to appropriate staff members
Oversees clinical care of the ambulatory annual wellness RN staff in their assessment, promotion, maintenance and restoration of patients' health and wellness.
Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, training, annual evaluation and disciplinary action for ambulatory annual wellness RN staff.Demonstrates willingness to give and receive feedback and integrates appropriate changes into practice.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required and BSN required, MSN preferred
AND
Experience:
3 years' experience as an RN
Experience in ambulatory care strongly preferred.
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:
Current RN licensure in state of employment; AHA BLS CPR certification
